They’re Taking the Horses to Isengard!

Okay so this outfit was kind of a roller coaster. I finally got a hold of the glowing Isengard cloaks (not the ones that change hues) and I just HAD to feature them in a post. Then of course it took FOREVER to find an outfit that would match the cloak without stealing its thunder. This is what I ultimately landed on.

I definitely wanted to include some of the Isengard raid gear, the question was just which ones and how. Although I did play around with a bunch of different chest-pieces, I decided on the medium crafted Mordor gear as I felt it matched the shimmery quality of the cloak, and decided to use the ROI gear for the the shoulders, hands, and feet.

And I mean seriously, just take a look at that cloak. I ended up dying it black because I felt that made the dragon on it pop more, and it’s definitely something that deserves to be seen.

Whether you’re running from trolls or looking out at a barren landscape, it’s a must-have accessory.

And of course, this being me and because I decided to feature the outfit on my level 78 RK, I just had to include a war-steed as well.

I’m a little embarrassed to say that the war-steed of Isengard set was not my first thought. I really don’t know how I didn’t think of it immediately, but it wasn’t until I was picking a saddle for a completely DIFFERENT war-steed outfit that I remembered I had this lovely set in my inventory ready to go.

I know these are basically the same exact two images, but just look at how the caparison shimmers!!!!

Looking back now I can’t think of any other war-steed that would pair so well with the outfit.

This outing also gave me the opportunity to grab what is probably my best action shot ever?

It’s so epic…

Sorry for all the horsey pictures. I really couldn’t decide which ones to use because there were so many awesome ones and I’m a wee bit obsessed… And I would also say that I wasn’t actually sorry because I’m the only one who really looks at this blog except that I got TWO comments today which totally disputes that claim. Which is insane! So to any of you out there who are reading this, thank you so much for taking an interest in my endeavor! I hope I haven’t scared you off by my slightly strange love of war steeds 🙂
