So my minstrel isn’t a new toon, technically. In multiple ways, actually. See, when I first started playing LOTRO, I created characters on multiple servers. One of the servers I picked was actually a French server, since I speak some French and I saw it as an opportunity to practice. Then I joined a kinship on the North American server I was on, and that changed the game. LOTRO became a whole new place and a whole new experience that I loved even more. BUT – and here’s the caveat – you can’t transfer characters from EU servers to NA servers. So my solution? Re-roll them on a new server and start over. Those three characters that I brought over to join my Champ were my Loremaster, my Rune Keeper, and my Minstrel 🙂

At that time, my LM was level 50, my Minstrel level 30 (I think?) and my RK was still in her teens. Since the “re-roll,” I’ve gotten my LM nearly to cap (she’s at 116 right now) and my Rk to 78, but for some reason my Mini has been stuck at 13. And that’s with festivals.

It’s not that I don’t enjoy the minstrel class – I actually loved it a lot. I think I’ve just been distracted with everything else going on in game…Right now the plan is to get my LM to level cap which I should be able to in a couple days, and then I’ll go back to leveling up some other toons. It might be my mini, but I do have a standing promise to my warden to get him a war-steed.

Anywho, I recently logged into my Mini’s account just to see what was happening, and decided to play around with cosmetics. For some reason my male toons are all humans and my other two female toons are elves, but it turns out that female humans outfit REALLY well. Like, all those weird clothing glitches and overlaps that happen on an elf don’t seem to happen nearly as often.

This post is going to be a bit longer than normal (maybe? IDK – how long do I normally make these?) because it’s really three outfits wrapped into one post. The reason I’ve decided to include them all together is that they’re basically the same outfit, just dyed and accessorized differently. Here they are, side by side, for comparison:

As you can see, the jacket and gloves are the same for each outfit, the boots are the same for two, and the shoulders are basically all the same piece only re-skinned.

You’ve already seen the first outfit:
Shoulders: Shoulders of the Causeway (grey)
Chest: Lesser Coat of the Fury Wielder (white)
Hands: Leather Gauntlets of the Leaping Stag (default/white)
Feet: Medium Nadhin Boots (grey)

Outfit 2:
Shoulders: Exemplary Shoulders of the Anorian Tree (grey/default)
Chest: Lesser Coat of the Fury Wielder (steel blue)
Hands: Leather Gauntlets of the Leaping Stag (steel blue)
Feet: Medium Nadhin Boots (steel blue)

Outfit 3:
Shoulders: Ceremonial Pauldrons of the Mark (moria silver)
Chest: Lesser Coat of the Fury Wielder (walnut brown/default)
Hands: Leather Gauntlets of the Leaping Stag (grey)
Feet: Reworked Boots (grey/default)
And for a final send off, here’s my beautiful Minstrel playing all sorts of lovely instruments!

Here’s to a bright and sonorous future!
