Nemesis of the Fallen

Crossing into the Southern Barrow Downs was kind of a big deal for me. For one thing, I didn’t even REALIZE that there was more. And then there was also the overwhelming site of seemingly unending mounds. And then to top it all off, as soon as you enter a barrow – all of the wights have like, 3 times your health? In summary – it is not a friendly zone for solo level 20 players like I was.

Having traversed the regions several times since then, however, it’s now a familiar, nostalgia filled area to quest in. And it DEFINITELY doesn’t hurt to be seriously over leveled for it πŸ™‚

It’s also a nice reminder of what the game is really about – fellowships. Because when you’re a level 78 RK in a level 20 starter region, you tend to mow through mobs like it’s nobody’s business. But occasionally you’ll encounter someone who’s actually trying to do the material on-level, and I like to take that as an opportunity to help them out in some of the trickier areas of the Downs.

It’s nice to relive the memories every now and again – especially when you can help others make new ones πŸ™‚
